Legacy Society

As a way to recognize those who include Marietta in their estate plans, the College established the Legacy Society. Israel Ward Andrews and Daniel Fayerweather would have been members of this society, as would Cornelius B. Erwin and Professor Milo P. Jewett.

Donors can become members of the Legacy Society by documenting certain types of planned gifts, including bequests, charitable gift annuities, gifts of retirement plans, gifts of real estate, retained life estates, charitable remainder trusts and charitable lead trusts. As with all gifts that benefit Marietta College, donors may choose to remain anonymous or to be recognized publicly. Members are recognized during an annual recognition event, in College publications and periodic mailings. All Legacy Society members receive a special memento.

For more information on the Legacy Society or any aspect of planned giving, please contact the Office of Advancement at 740-376-4711.
